Giant Steps is pleased to host an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning workshop October 7-9. For those interested in pursuing their Equine Specialist certification, the horsemanship skills test will be on October 10th. This workshop is beneficial for anyone who is interested in working with equines and clients who have mental health, emotional or learning challenges. Attendees will learn all aspects of working in an equine facilitated learning session, including: strategies for working with a mental health professional, activity and horse selection, horse handling skills, and assessing horses’ response to student behavior.
